Early life and Education
Born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, he is the son of Khurshed Alam Khan a former Union Minister of External affairs, Government of India, and maternal grandson of Zakir Hussain, the third President of India. He studied in St. Xavier’s High School, Patna, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and college at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and Edmund Hall, Oxford, Oxford, UK (B.A. (English and Jurisprudence), M.A., B.C.L.). He also taught as Lecturer in Law at Trinity College, Oxford.
Party Political Offices
He has been the President of the Uttar Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee twice. He was also the President of the Delhi Public School Society and Dr. Zakir Hussain Study Circle.

Louise Khurshid, is an accomplished journalist, a brilliant writer, a Politician, former M.L.A. and on the Governing Council of Welham Boys School, Dehradun. She has pioneered several ventures and with her passion and zeal, today Delhi World Foundation has 60 schools operational and several to commence in coming days with more than twelve thousand students enrolled at present. Mrs Khurshid’s vision is to create well rounded individuals by taking the road less travelled, but a road which is filled with adventure, curiosity & wonder. Emphasis is laid on learning from the environment, combining spiritual philosophies with different subjects in the curriculum.

Associated with prestigious institutions like Delhi Public School, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Welham Girls High School Dehradun, Modern High School Dubai, DPS Kuwait, to GEMS, and now to Delhi World Foundation. Interacted, taught and nurtured under-privileged children (from slum area in Kailash Colony) every day, for atleast an hour after returning from DPS Mathura Road. Their smiling and happy faces has left an indelible joyful impact on my heart and mind!
