Founder’s Day Celebration at DWPS, Greater Noida– a Grand Success with honorable Padmashree awardee Dr. Shovna Narayan as Chief Guest
The sixth annual Founder’s Day Celebration at Delhi World Public School,Greater Noida,on 16th January,was a grand success with the presence of Honorable Padmashree awardee Dr.
Shovana Narayan Ji, a name synonymous with Kathak, as the chief guest. Ms. Sabaha Saghir, associate teacher Amity school of Film and Drama (ASFD) and Ms. Ritu Bhatnagar, senior program office, vice chancellor office, Amity University also graced the occasion with their presence. The event was organized to honor respected chairman Mr. Shankar Kumar ji, founders of the school, honorable Rahul Kumar ji, honorable Manoj Kumar ji and honorable Om Narayan ji, to celebrate the achievements and milestones of the school over the years.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and saraswati vandana by honorable Padmashree awardee Ms. Shovana Narayan ji, Respected Chairman, Board members,Respected Director Kanchan Kumari and honorable Principal Ms. Heema Sharma and other dignitaries.
This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, dignitaries,Chairman Sir and founders who have contributed to the school’s success over the years. The honorable chief guest Padmashree awardee Ms. Shovana Narayan ji, school’s founders, past and present members of the governing body, and other distinguished guests were honored with mementos and bouquets.
School’s Principal Ms. Heema Sharma applauded the achievements of the founders. She spoke about the vision of the multi-faceted guests who were an inspiration for the youth of today.
Honorable director Ms. Kanchan Kumari shared the vision of the school and the commitment to establish necessary ethos, values, and all the necessary support system to fulfill the vision.
And, then came one of the best moments. Honorable Chief Guest Padmashree awardee Dr.Shovana Narayan enthralled everyone with her scintillating performance. She depicted various animals with foot movements, captivated the audience .by showcasing the “draupadi cheerharan” episode from Mahabharat through her dance moves. Her mastery of the dance form, coupled with her grace and elegance, has made her one of the most sought-after performers in the field of Indian classical dance.
Curious minds are most happy when they have the opportunity to get answers to questions wavering inside them. Students asked some intriguing questions to which honorable Padmashree awardee Ms. Shovana Narayan ji answered from her vast experience. She shared some very important life lessons for the young minds.
The Founder’s Day Celebration concluded with a vote of thanks.
